Colorado Specific Searches

Colorado Bureau of Investigations Search

CBI is a division of the Colorado Department of Public Safety and is the central repository of the criminal history arrest records for the State of Colorado only.

The computerized criminal history (CCH) database contains detailed information of arrest records based upon fingerprints provided by Colorado law enforcement agencies. Arrests which are not supported by fingerprints will not be included in this database. Additionally, warrant information, sealed records, and juvenile records are not available to the public.

Colorado Courts Integration Systems Search

CICJIS – Colorado Integration Criminal Justice Information System is a collaborative program designed to facilitate information sharing from the equal participation of the five CICJIS agencies – Colorado Bureau of Investigations (CBI), Colorado District Attorneys Council (CDAC), Colorado Judicial, Colorado Department of Corrections (CDOC), and Colorado Department of Youth Corrections (DYC).   CICJIS acts as the hub that links these systems together into one virtual computer system, allowing the systems to share common data and to provide a single view or source of information to criminal justice agencies.

Note:  Denver County General Sessions does not report into the CICJIS.

Denver County General Sessions

Denver County General Sessions a search that should be used in conjunction with a Colorado Courts Integration Search, as Denver County does not report to this system. This search should also be used in conjunction with a Denver County search as this search will pick up lower level misdemeanors and petty offenses.

Note:  Denver General Sessions does NOT report to the Colorado Courts Integration, and therefore, is a separate search.  If you are looking for a comprehensive, exhaustive Colorado Courts search, it is imperative that you search both databases.  If not, you risk missing necessary information.
