How far back in history does the background screening cover?
NationSearch provides a minimum of seven years historical data no matter what search we are conducting. Additionally, we will obtain court records back as far as they are available for public access. All records found will be reported within the parameters of Federal and State laws and regulations. While Federal law does not place limits on the reporting of criminal convictions, most states do have legislation dictating the parameters and scope of background checks: 7 years as a general rule. Some states allow 10 years for pre-defined circumstances.
