What are Access Fees?
Much of the time, Federal, State, County and Civil government entities, along with Motor Vehicle Records, employers, educational institutions, etc. charge fees for access to their information. These fees help to offset their own internal costs. These fees are non-negotiable, and are subject to change without notice. The CRA passes these fees on to their clients. NationSearch is happy to provide a listing of these continually evolving fees.
Currently, New York State charges the highest fee for criminal records access at $75. The average County and State fee is $8-$12. These fees are invoiced to the client in addition to the quoted price for the search. The client is notified up front that access fees are applicable.
