How does an Education Verification work?
NationSearch verifies the information provided by the applicant via direct contact with the institution. We are normally looking for the highest degree earned by the applicant. However, the extent of the search is up to the client’s request and needs. Each school or institution disseminates the information a little differently. In some instances, we are required to provide the signed consent form from the applicant. Additionally, we are at the mercy of the schools and institutions as to when we hear back from them. Education verificatons can be very quick or very time consuming. For example, sometimes the school is completely closed down for weeks or even months for winter or summer break. Very often, the female applicants’ maiden name is required to complete this search.
